This version of the company logo differs from the original only with the exclusion of the Royal Crown that was placed on the top (between the wings).

After Sir Alliott left the company that bore his name, he purchased part of S.E. Saunders, and they renamed the company, Saunders-Roe, or SARO for short.

This version of the company log was used as the primary Avro logo in the U.K., and elsewhere. After the Hawker-Siddeley Group purchases Victory Aircraft in Canada, this logo will also be used for the newly-formed A.V. Roe Canada, Ltd.
